AI Agents: Rejected!

"AI Agents will take over your sales team" - "AI Agents will build entire businesses" - I keep seeing those slogans all over the internet these days. 𝗦𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 🤬 𝘂𝗽.
Business is built on trust and connection between people, not between entities and documents. How can people fear that "AI will take over humanity" and at the same time promote AI agents?
The Crucial Role of Intuition in Decision-Making
I as business owner and human being will 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 put A(G)I in the position to take any decision. Decisions, be it in sales, HR, product or whatever other regard, need to be taken by humans that can balance between purely rational, number- or text-based facts, and emotion and, most importantly, intuition.
Intuition is something inherently human, and it directly relates to the quality of our decision-making, based on our experience and our ability to foresee potential consequences of decisions. Intuition relates to our ability to trust other humans, build trust and give trust.
Travelling around the world and now building a business, I have sharpened my intuition, and I have learned that in any situation, being able to listen to my intuition is the most valuable asset I can have. Intuition it reflects my values, the quality of people I am surrounding myself with, how I spend my time and thus my long-term trajectory.
The Limits of AI in Human-Centric Roles
Any software, may it be as intricately designed, only consists of code and does not have any intuition, and therefore it must not be able to carry any responsibility.
Anyone that believes that an "AI agent" can replace a meaningful human-to-human interaction is lazy, fearful of their own failure, probably has a weak intuition, and is going to face some serious issues down that road.
Yes, AI is extremely powerful as a tool to increase efficiency, and it will and already does replace jobs. I have 0 doubts about that and I am glad it is being developed. But I do not want to live in a world where "AI agents" are sealing deals, hiring each other (can you imagine?) or take budget decisions.
Let them be what they were intended for: time savers. And don't push them down my throat.
